Great Business Quote
I found a quote I thought I would pass along.
"Knowledge is power. The more knowledge, expertise,
and connections you have, the easier it is for you
to make a profit at the game of your choice."

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Hits?
When I am online looking at homes, or anything for that matter, I like to see photos. Craigs list comes to mind. I don't even look at listing without photos, the same is true for ebay. Maybe it's the "see it to believe it" mind set. I want look at something I am going to buy from different angles, front, back, top, bottom, sides, etc. I might be interested in the item because it has a unique quality or appearance. The point is the more photos from different angles the better.
So the question is how many photos do you need to take of a home you are selling? I don't think there is a perfect the number but I
would say at least 5-6. I know when I see a home online that has only 1 photo, the first thing that comes to mind is what is wrong with the house? Do they not want me to see the rest of the home? For me, the important photos are the front of the house, back yard, Kitchen, master bedroom, and living area. In addition I would post photos of any unique features like a separate work shop, finished attic area, decking, views, etc..
According to point2 technologies, the more photos the better. Homes with 21 photos or more received double the number of responses. (piece of the article below)
To sell a home with an Internet listing, it pays to provide pictures -- and lots of them, according to a recent study from an e-commerce and online marketing firm that serves the real-estate industry.
Compared with listings that had only one photo, those that had 21 or more photos received double the number of responses to the listing broker or agent, according to Point2 Technologies. Listings that included no photos generated significantly less response than those that had one, the firm said.
"The days of putting out little information in the hopes that buyers will phone in to learn more are gone," said Carey Tufts, director of marketing for Point2, in a news release.
A Quick Writing Lesson
Stop finding excuses and start writing on your blog and web site. Find interesting topics your audience will be interested it. Here's post I found with a quick lesson on writing good captivating stories/posts people will want to read Say Nothing In 500 Words
Here are a few samples.
Avoid the obvious content."Say the assignment is college football. Say that you've decided to be against it. Begin by putting down the arguments that come to your mind. Now when you write your paper, make sure that you don' t use any of the material on this list. If these are the points that leap to your mind, they will leap to everyone else's too. Be against college football for some reason or reasons of your own. If they are keen and perceptive ones, that's splendid. But even if they are trivial or foolish or indefensible, you are still ahead so long as they are not everybody else's reasons too."
Get rid of obvious padding. "Instead of stuffing your sentences with straw, you must try steadily to get rid of the padding, to make your sentences lean and tough... You dig up more real content. Instead of taking a couple of obvious points off the surface of the topic and then circling warily around them for six paragraphs, you work in and explore, figure out the details. You illustrate."
Getting started is the hardest part.
