Coming and Going in Gilbert / Local Information

Higher Commissions?!?!?!?

No kidding!  According to Real Trends many agents across the country have seriously INCREASED the commission they charge to sell a home in today's market. Some agents charging more than 6% commission to guarantee better results  Is there a better reason to look at flat fee companies, such as Assist 2 Sell, that provide ALL of the exact same benefits (and THEN some) that high priced agents do, for a low, flat fee?  For instance, our Gilbert, Arizona office includes Virtual Tours, Audio Tours, viewing on 100's of websites, including the enhanced (lots of photos) feature on Realtor.Com.  Most of these sales tools are "extra"  by other firms or come at a higher price, while Assist 2 Sell INCLUDES them with our low, flat listing fee.  While it is true that a very detailed and pinpointed marketing plan is mandatory to get a home sold in today's market, the bottom line is to offer a price the buyer is willing to pay.  Then, if priced right and you add the sales tools offered by Assist 2 Sell WITH the low, flat fee, your home is positioned to SELL.

Good question, Ryan. Sometimes, when working with Luxury Properties, a higher commission DOES provide additional marketing efforts that cost the company more. For instance, full color luxury brochures, an enhanced Virtual Tour, advertising in International magazines and papers, etc. However, for your typical homeowner, when comparing FULL SERVICE companies, I don't believe that a higher commission provides a higher success rate in selling the property. As long as the Buyer's Agent is offered a fair co-broke, then NO ONE knows what the seller is paying the listing agent.
